strangers (2004)- short film by: Erez Tadmor & Guy Nattiv

This is the alternate fan sequence I made for the DVD version of the Gremlins 2 "film break" scene. I made it alone, in a two months period, with (computer-enhanced) puppets I re-created for this project. WATCH THE MAKING OF ON YOUTUBE !!! ————————————————— MORE INFO: WHAT IS IT? In the middle of the movie Gremlins 2, there is a sequence where the film seems to break, and where the gremlins invade the projection booth. For the VHS edition in the early 90's, they reshot a special sequence where the VHS tape seemed to be torn apart and in which the gremlins invaded a John Wayne movie. The DVD just kept the original theatrical version. This is the alternate sequence I made, supposed to replace the theatrical one on the DVD. HOW IS IT MADE? The creatures effects are all made with puppets. I made a new mold out of a hard cast of one of the original sculptures from the production. I created a batch of new foam puppets especially for this project. Their performances are enhanced by computer effects, which makes them able to do nearly anything, from running to jumping or facial expressions. The entire shooting takes place in a bluescreen studio, arranged in my basement, in order to superimpose the gremlins in the chosen movies. WHO AM I ? Sacha Feiner - I am a movie and animated movie director, special effects creator and sculptor, in Brussels. I made several short films, documentaries, and cartoons; I also work as a graphist. In 2007 and 2008, I made an animated series and recut trailers that were played at the BRUSSELS INTERNATIONAL FANTASTIC FILM FESTIVAL (largest genre festival in Europe), before each screening. WHY THIS PROJECT? I have been a gremlins fan since I saw the first movie as a kid and it has always been my dream to be part of such a project. I own one of the largest Gremlins collections in the world; tons of merchandising products and several original screen-used props. I am truly passionated with these creatures (and their movies), as well as with special effects. I am lucky enough to be able to afford the whole making of something like this, entirely written, produced and directed by me. HOW LONG AND HOW MUCH? The whole production was two months long. It has been finished on 15th july, 2008. This is a fan, non profit project. I did everything alone, from the filming to the compositing. I only had assistants for the puppeteering. The overall budget, including the purchasing of the original sculpture, the HD and studio equipment, the molding and painting of the puppets and the editing, was about US $3000. This is also an answer to something Joe Dante said in an interview, when the journalist asked why they did not shoot any new alternate sequence for the DVD edition: "I guess there was no budget"! Indeed, the purpose is also to show that it is possible to render a professional, entertaining and well done sequence for... nearly nothing.

http://www.sigur-ros.co.uk http://www.myspace.com/sigurros Sigur Rós break their two-year silence to release their first-ever film and a companion album later this autumn. Filmed over two weeks last summer when the band undertook a free tour of Iceland, 'Heima' stands as a colossal labour of love - not to say grand folly - typical of this most exacting of bands. While most people set up a few cameras at, say, a festival, and call it a DVD, Sigur Rós decided they would push the boat (bus and plane) out for their debut venture into live film, hauling 40-plus people round 15 locations to the furthest flung corners of their homeland to create something, well, inspirational. On their way they went to ghost towns, outsider art shrines, national parks, small community halls and the absolute middle-of-nowhere-ness of the highland wilderness, as well as playing the largest gig of their career (and in Icelandic history) at their triumphant homecoming Reykjavik show. 'Heima' (Icelandic for "at home" or "homeland"), truly, shows Sigur Rós as never before. Whereas seeing the group live is normally a large-scale and sometimes overwhelming experience, making full use of lights and mesmeric visuals, 'Heima' was always intended to reveal more of what was actually going on on stage. It does this via long-held close-ups and a rare intimate proximity, without ever once breaking the spell. Loosely based on a documentary format - and including personal reflections from the band - 'Heima' also serves as an alternative primer for Iceland the country, which is revealed as less stag destination-du-jour and more desolate, magical place where human beings have little right to trespass. 'Heima' features performances of songs from all four Sigur Rós albums, many radically reworked, as well as two exclusive new songs in 'Guitardjamm', which was filmed inside an abandoned herring oil tank in the far West of the country, and the traditional 'A Ferd Til Breidarfjardar 1922', performed with poet Steindor Andersen. 'Heima' was directed by Dean DeBlois, a long-time fan of the band and director of the Oscar-nominated animated feature 'Lilo & Stitch', using an Icelandic crew. 'Hvarf-Heim', the companion record, is more cousin than sister release. It has two titles because it is in effect two separate, but complementary, entities, with -- get this -- two front covers and a limited edition run of two discs. Open it one way and it's 'Hvarf' ("disappeared" orr "haven", a five track electric studio record comprising mainly unreleased rarities from Sigur Rós's back-pages, none of which is on 'Heima'. Open it the other way and it's 'Heim' ("home"), a six track acoustic record, comprising delicate new unplugged versions of some of Sigur Rós's best moments, which have never been performed before. The band were originally asked to deliver a traditional live album to go with the live film, but thinking about it, with Sigur Rós that wasn't ever going to happen, and what we have here in 'Hvarf-Heim' is infinitely more stimulating and exciting than some will-this-do? toss-offs of songs they honed to perfection in the studio aeons ago. 'Hvarf-Heim' features three previously absolutely unreleased electric songs (Salka, Hljomalind and I Gaer) and is, anyway, wall-to-wall re-workings. Whatever way you look at it, 'Hvarf-Heim' is a great Sigur Rós record. 'Heima' receives its worldwide premiere on September 27th at the Icelandic Film Festival and a run of national premieres at film festivals all around the world follows including a UK premiere (full details soon to be announced). The film will then receive a nationwide UK release in selected cinemas across the UK. On November 5th 'Heima' will be released as a Special Edition double DVD package with a 104-page book containing stunning photos from the tour. It will also be released as a standard 2-DVD set. The first disc of both packages features the 'Heima' film, with a choice of a 5.1 surround sound or pcm stereo mix, whilst the second DVD will contain the full performances of each song in the movie amongst many other extras. THIS IS THE FIRST CHANCE TO SEE SIGUR RÓS LIVE ON DVD

Duran Duran Youtube Streams and Chat: http://youtube.com/stream?u=frolickfriendster&i=0 "Come Undone" is the second single from the album Duran Duran (The Wedding Album) by British band Duran Duran, and is their twenty-fourth single overall. With their commercial and critical success re-established by the previous single "Ordinary World", the second release from the album continued to showcase more of the band's entry into the Adult Contemporary genre. "Come Undone" proved to be the group's second consecutive US top ten hit single from The Wedding Album. It was also popular in the UK and other international markets. The group's guitarist at the time, Warren Cuccurullo, is credited with developing the instrumentation for "Come Undone", most importantly its guitar hook, which he developed while trying to do a re-interpretation of "First Impression" from their 1990 album Liberty. The lyrics were written by vocalist Simon Le Bon as a birthday gift for his wife, Yasmin Le Bon). The group's bassist, John Taylor, did not actually play bass on this track. Nick Rhodes and John Jones both contributed synth bass on the track during his absence. The "Come Undone" video was directed by Julien Temple. Shots of the band were filmed in the London Aquarium; these were interspersed with short vignettes of people "coming undone" in various ways. These vignettes include a little girl seeing her parents together, an older couple who have survived a flood, an alcoholic and a man who is revealed to be a cross-dresser. Also seen in the video is a woman struggling underwater to break free of the chains that bind her. Le Bon and Taylor's Vivienne Westwood wardrobe were likely a nod to the band's early New Romantic era. The single was released in the United Kingdom on 29 March 1993, with the b-side "Ordinary World (Acoustic)". This was the single's official b-side in the UK. The US was luckier. Across a myriad of formats Capitol put out no less than three new b-sides - "Time For Temptation", "Stop Dead" and an alternate mix of "Fallen Angel". For collectors, the US releases also contained an alternate mix of "To The Shore" and the first appearance on CD of "The Chauffeur (Blue Silver)" (called "acoustic demo" here, due to the dreadful sound quality). Meanwhile, to whet UK collectors' appetites, EMI released three album tracks on the second CD, along with the album version of "Come Undone". CD One faired slightly better with the beautiful acoustic rendition of "Ordinary World" propping up three mixes of the title track. *Remixes* Album Version Edit 7" edit alternate Mix 1 Master (aka 12" Mix - Comin' Together) Mix 2 Master Churban Mix (aka US Remix) La fin de siècle FGI Phumpin' 12" Come Undub TV Synth Strings The song has been covered by the bands Mad at Gravity, Chica Y Los Gatos, Wise Crack and Bachelor Girl, and Fragile Hollow. This promotional film from 1960 was discovered by Peter J. Smith, Director of the Seaside Heights Office of Public Relations in May 2008, and was converted to modern video format by Joe Verderosa of Greenrose Media. Peter had seen this film once before in his life, when it was shown by Mr. Hugh J. Boyd, Principal of his namesake school in Seaside Heights. Peter spent five years looking for this video inside the Borough Hall. One day, he had to reach high on a shelf to retrieve a box of 8 radios. However, the box only had 7 radios inside. This made him grab a stepladder and look for the radio. The radio was found on top of a reel of film, which turned out to be the long-lost Sun and Fun video. We like to think that the spirit of J. Stanley Tunney, who appears in this film, and is believed to occassionally make a paranormal visit to the Borough Hall, led us to this valuable piece of history. NOW ON DVD AN BY POPULAR DEMAND! Testify" was the fourth single from rapper Common 's 2005 album Be. The original song clocked in at just above two and a half minutes, it was the second shortest track on Be (after the albums intro). It is produced by Kanye West, whose beat heavily utilizes vocal samples from "Innocent Until Proven Guilty" by Honey Cone. A short film was directed by Anthony Mandler and produced by Boxfresh Pictures. It stars Taraji Henson, Wood Harris, Steve Harris, Kenny Burns and Kevin Black. The full length video premiered during a Making The Video segment and all subsequent airings were a scaled down to a three minute version. The song's story is about a woman who manipulates a judge and jury to find her partner guilty of a crime she committed. After the case is settled, she starts laughing and reveals that she is the criminal. 2] The song was a critical hit garnering a nomination for Best Rap Solo Performance at the 48th Grammy Awards. source : Wikipedia This is a worldwide internet exclusive from Street Knowledge Media www.streetknowledge.wordpress.com

Vincent Malloy is seven years old,He's always polite and does what he's told. For a boy his age he's considerate and nice,But he wants to be just like Vincent Price. He doesn't mind living with his sister, dog and cats,Though he'd rather share a home with spiders and bats. There he could reflect on the horrors he's invented,And wander dark hallways alone and tormented. Narrated By Vincent Price
