this is parodius for the MSX. Yup it all started on this japanese home computer. Thankfully MSX games games featured on this collection are versions that have music using the SSC chip. The SCC is a wavetable sound chip (created by Konami)and thanks to them, their MSX games sound pretty decent. One thing that really bugs me is that Konami spent a good half of the late 80's making games for the MSX(personally I would NEVER called this a games machine) when they could have spent more productive time making games for the pc engine... BTW this is the MSX collection on the Sega Saturn which unlike the playstation version features all 30 games on one disc. I gotta stress the gradius related games on the MSX are some of the hardest games ever...and if you got serious anger management issues.. don't play these!!

Made for Akutare. This is a random mix of Konami games for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. I'm pretty confident that you'll know some of them, and chances are you've played at least one of these games. I didn't include every SNES game the company made... the Konami fans can probably figure out what the real reason for that is (well, besides the fact that Prince of Persia is terrible). Dedicated to penguin lovers everywhere.

Presentation Video of the Konami Nintendo DS Game "Survival Kids - Lost in Blue" - language Japanese
Classic third person run 'n jump adventure for the MSX computer(1986).This game has the distinction of being the first game by the famous designer Hideo Kojima (of Metal Gear fame) worked on, he was the assistant director. Video shows a walkthru 1/4 of the game's whole size. Recorded with BlueMSX.
I see few videos submitted for this game, so I thought I'll put out one myself. The total file size is beyond YouTube's 100 MB limit (even for Directors) so I can only show you the third and fourth races of the four-race contest in the first stage for the No.1 spot. This Mario Kart ripoff features super-deformed (unfortunately) characters that are largely unknown from famous games. Main man is Goemon (Gambare Goemon), followed by - Takosuke (Parodius) - Dracula (Castlevania) - Cyborg Ninja (Metal Gear Solid) - Pastel (Twinbee) - ProKun (Pawapuru) - Moai head (Gradius and Konami regular easter egg) - Nyami (Pop n' Music) Secret characters - King(Pop n Music) - Bear Tank (Rakuga kids) - Vic Viper (Gradius) - Ebisumaru (Gambare Goemon) Not wanting to use the main guy I chose ProKun, the cute mouthless guy with the baseball cap and his dog. And give you an idea of what it's like to really win. The music is good for this game as well. Please feel most free to rate and comment on it. Thank you for watching.

This video came about from a competition held over at DigitalPress on May, 2006 - I recorded a MAME playback of my playthrough and uploaded it to a few places, but I never really put it up on Youtube until now. The rules were simple: a maximum of five credits, and the game had to be played on default settings. This is the game intro and Level 1 of the game, as played by me back then. There's eight videos in total. This video was captured using FoxMagic capturing software while the replay was played on MAME 0.101. I made this video, so PLEASE don't steal it! Four real-life models were chosen for their in-game appearances as their "Beauty" side: Lyndall Jarvis, Scarlett Chorvat, Mieko Rye, and Yumi Kikuchi. The English dubbing for the characters is done by having the female voice actors perform the lines while Fred Tatasciore overdubs on top of the female voices, creating a split-voice effect for the characters.
