Wonderful Video Box, just open it up!

This number is probably best remembered as one of the standout performances from the classic RCA Victor "Artie Shaw at the Blue Room/Cafe Rouge" aircheck set, capturing the 1938-39 Shaw band at its apex. The short "Second Chorus" performance featured here gives us a sense of what the chart sounded like when played by Artie's post-"Frenesi" group. (The little dialogue coda is a reminder that in the film, Fred Astaire and Burgess Meredith were in "The Perennials" - a college band whose students never graduated!)

Artie laughs so hard at Kathy Jones' sounds and Baba Booey that he almost has a heart attack. One of the greatest moments from the show. NOTE: This is not my vid. This video is propery of Howard Stern and/or Sirius XM. Also, I am not the first to upload this video. I saw that it was taken down so I decided that people would want to see it so I managed to find a copy of the raw .flv file and upload it for yall.
